Mother’s Day Novena of Masses

Entrust your Mother to Our Lady’s tender embrace

Just as the Virgin Mary lovingly guided Jesus throughout His life, for many of us, it was our mothers who first introduced us to the Catholic faith, brought us to church, taught us the sign of the Cross, and comforted us with the sure promise of God's great love.

This Mother's Day, we invite you to give the gift of prayer to all the extraordinary women who have cared for you as a devoted mother, by enrolling them in the Mother's Day Novena here at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Those enrolled will be remembered in prayer at the National Shrine during the Mother's Day Novena of Masses, beginning Sunday, May 8.
